I’m going to North Korea! Well at least I’m planning (and saving) to for my Summer vacation next year.

Sounds great doesn’t it? “Come to Sunny Pyeongyang!” Something right out of a tourist brochure….

Anyway I have come across a lot of interesting stuff out of North Korea over the last couple of weeks. And while there are a number of excellent blogs that do a good job discussing Our Friends to the North™ (DPRK Studies and North Korean Economy Watch among them), I thought this documentary from Al Jazeera was worth sharing.

You can always count on Al Jazeera to do something a little bit different than other news outlets, and this 20 odd minute, fly on the wall documenatry is no exception. Forgoing the usual booming narration (Although Christian Slater does a good job in Crossing the Line) Dutch documentary film maker Peiter Flurry (spelling?) makes me feel as if I’m right there in Pyeongyang in “Take Us To Your Leader”

    How on earth do you embed You Tube into a post in WordPress?

    The current WordPress version should have tools to do so automatically. Look near the button for embedding images.

    Ah — you can just cut and paste the embed code wholesale in HTML mode, then switch back to Visual. It’ll be a box. Just center it and away you go!
