Halloween is this Friday. Are you ready for it? If you’re a foreigner and intend to celebrate with fellow waygooks, you know that a costume is mandatory. If you’re looking for a Halloween costume and don’t want to go as an ajumma or ajoshi again, I’ve got the perfect place to get that last minute costume.
Two weeks ago, my friends and I visited Halloween near Sadang Station. The place isn’t quite a retail storefront, but more of a warehouse for the company’s online business. Walk-ins are welcomed, so feel free to browse the plethora of costume. Most items are bagged and ready to be shipped, but there are some hanging and on display.

You have the option to buy the costume or rent it. It’s considerably cheaper to rent. I rented three costumes for friends, and each were 20,000 each, plus a cash deposit of 5,000 won. On the other hand, another friend bought his costume for 80,000 won.
Before going, I recommend browsing on the website and printing out the items you intend to purchase or rent. The items in the store don’t have price tags, so each time you want to know how much something costs, the employees have to scurry to their computer, look it up on their website, and run back to tell you.

Hours & Phone Number:
- Mon-Fri: 9:30-7:00pm
- Saturday: 9:30-4:00pm
- 02-581-0661
Directions:
Sadang Station (Line 4) – Exit 14. Walk straight out the exit for 5-6 minutes. You’ll reach a road, that in order for you to go straight, will need to cross. Cross the street to the other sidee. Once there, take a left turn. Walk to the next block and take a right. There’s a pharmacy on that corner. The store will be a couple buildings down the street, on the right. The sign is black and orange with the name Halloween displayed in English. The store is in the basement.

When you see this street, cross it and take a left:

In this picture, at the location where you see the man and the car, take a right turn. The store will be on your right.

Have a fun and safe Halloween!

There’s also a place in Namdaemun — if you stand in front of the Shinsegye Department store and walk towards the big fountain, and then curl left around the outside of the main Namdaemun Market area, walking along the big street, between the handbag section and the camera section (by the old burnt-down gate) there’s another costume shop. Don’t know the hours or anything, but I found some pretty good stuff there last Octoberween.

I’m living in Anyang right now and my roommate and I are throwing a Halloween bash this weekend- we’ve been so busy we haven’t gotten our costumes together. Just started looking online before heading out to go shopping. Thanks for the info on this page! Your directions are great.
