KOTESOL Conference this Weekend

At Sookmyung Women’s University, Seoul, the KOTESOL conference will be held from October 25th to 26th.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about teaching English, specifically in Korea, and it’s also a really great networking opportunity: for people who have lived here, or who plan to live here a long time, it’s a chance to meet the kinds of people who are good to know: who might get you into that vaunted university job, who know about all kinds of cool ins and outs for flourishing in Korea.

The cost is 40 000 won for memebers and 65 000 for non-members; undergrad students only pay 10 000 won with their current ID card, and Jason from Kimchi-Ice Cream says on his write-up to promote the event,

You may wince at the entry fee–BUT IT’S WORTH IT!!! There are competitions and draws for tons of free stuff: books, games, and certificates, etc. You also get a bag with stuff in it at the door when you sign in.

For more on the conference, including a schedule and a description of what to expect, with lots of exclamation marks, go visit Jason’s post at Kimchi-IceCream, or skip the middle-blogger and go directly to the KOTESOL website itself (didn’t open in Safari).
