The Book:
Feetmanseoul.com, Korea’s first and only independent online fashion magazine, is producing a large photo/art book filled with gorgeous and provocative pictures, as well as original photo stories, interviews, and essays. Beyond the feel of a disposable fashion magazine, this coffee table book with have a real heft to it, with large, heavy pages that present many images from the site, along with new ones produced just for the book, all of which will be presented on the printed page in a way that the computer screen can’t do justice to.
Ours will be the only source of fresh, art book-style images of Korea, presented in terms that smart hipsters can understand — these aren’t your mama’s hanbok and palace pictures, but the absolute best shots from both the street and high-fashion worlds, with an emphasis on how real street fashion meets the runway. It will include a “lookbook” of Seoul’s major fashion shows and other high-fashion events, along with original photo essays and feature stories on everyone from hip new designers to the punk kid on the streets of Hongdae; this will quite literally make the “Seoul Fashion Report” a style diary of the city, as well as a living document of the Seoul city streets.
The Brunch:
Wait — a brunch, exhibit, book launch, and free pictures — all at the same time? Ooooh, yeah.
Ladies, get out your best minidress, and gentlemen, just dress to impress — and get ready for a brunch to remember! Join us to celebrate the launching of “The Seoul Fashion Report,” the first and only book about real Korean life and style. Free mimosas will help your brunch go down as you dine with the models, stars, and other folks involved in the book’s production, while a portable photo studio booth set up at the door will give guests a stylish record of having attended. Sign the guestbook, pose for a picture, and get what just might be the best picture you take of yourself or your friends in years, for free!
Audrey Hepburn’s “Funny Face” will be running on a big screen to set the mood, which will be as light as Fred Astaire’s feet or Audrey Hepburn’s lilting smile. Our main cover model will also be there, helping define the theme of our book, which is 60′s retro.
And remember — if you want to buy a specially-discounted, signed copy of the book, as well as a free print to take home with you, that’s the day.
Come out and help support your fellow hardworking and artistic expats! The book is bilingual and should appeal to anyone interested in Korea, fashion, or photography in general. It’s really got that much going for it!

The first picture looks like it was taken with a slight wide angle lense. Cute outfit
I will have to take a look at the book. How much is it? I do hope the book doesn’t have that dreadful “www feetmanseoul com” across every picture.

Hmmm… Her eyebrows bother me a little… They are too well-defined for my tastes… But, hey! Whatever floats your boat.

WG — actually, it was a slight telephoto, taken at around 60-70mm to reduce the depth-of-field and isolate her. The book will be around 60,000 won, A3 size, and around 400 or so 180-gram pages. Meant to be high-quality. I think it’ll be worth it — only you will be the final judge, though, since you’ll be voting with your wallet. What I can say is that we’ll be offering the best we can muster. And no, no need for watermarks on printed material.
Ian — Going for the retro look, but yeah, perhaps a bit heavy, huh? Hopefully other pics in the book will float your boat, though?
