Photos of North Korea on exhibit in Jongno

From the Joongang Ilbo:

“Changing Social Landscape: Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (1950-2008)” contains 70 pictures by nine photographers from different fields who visited the North to capture the land through their lenses over the last six decades.

And not just any photographers – they include photojournalist Margaret Bourke White and  French documentary maker Chris Marker, who both traveled in North Korea in the 1950s.

“The exhibition runs until May 5. It is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during weekdays and 12 to 7 p.m. on weekends. To get to Gongpyeong Gallery, go to Jonggak subway station, line No. 1, exit 3″. When you exit, turn around and walk north, in the direction of Jogyesa Temple, and it will be on your right within 5 minutes.

Wow. This might actually convince me to go to Seoul during the holiday weekend.
