Spam sucks. And spam robots, as these automated programs that exploit weaknesses in sites and wander the ‘net independently are called, suck even more. Sometimes, they get into your server and leave little bit of weird code as redirects of pop-ups that happen when readers enter a page. For you Sparklers complaining about aome weird things going on when you load the page, I’ll inform you that our .htaccess file had been altered to perform some redirects. I erased them, and re-uploaded fresh copies of the base WordPress files as well.

I’ve definitely been experiencing problems and lots of security warnings from AVG and Chrome when I come to Hub of Sparkle… While they’re slightly less than they have been, I’m still getting warned on something like go000ogle.net (spelling definitely wrong) and openstat.ws, as well as occasionally some strange .cn domains. Hope you can get things sorted out!

I got that too on Safari (always the gooooogle.net thing), but when I switched to Firefox there were no more warnings… Very odd business…
