Wondergirls Debut in Portland

In an aside from my usual comparative cultural commentary:

The Wondergirls opened their first show for the Jonas Brothers World Tour in Portland, on a stage-in-the-round, dancing to all four sides.  Judge crowd reaction for yourself, via these fancams:

2:58, in the first video. A real class move. One of the girls nearly knocks over one of the mics then immediately steadies it while staying on time, great stuff there. It seemed like a pretty good performance if they were indeed singing they sounded good for being a Korean band performing live. (Watch one of those M-net count down shows some time and see what I mean. A good album rarely translates to a good live show)

Okay posted too soon before i saw “Tell me.” There were some problems there, that didn’t sound good at all. Sounded like some strained vocal cords. (It’s okay if Kurt Cobain sings like that cuz he’s supposed to but for F’s sakes this is a purely vocal act, you should at least assume that they can sing.)
