Got a call this week from a KBS PD we know. She’s working on a series on foreigners showing the secret sides of Korea that even Koreans don’t know about. It’s based on the premise that Korean governments and businesses don’t really know what appeals to foreigners in Korea, so why not ask the foreigners themselves?
I’ve worked with this PD before, and she’s professional. She’s not out to make people into clowns. There is a specific requirement. You need to have a blog or some type of presence on the internet–enough so the producers can check out your site and decide if they can produce a show on that topic.
I don’t know when the series will start production. They are still in the earliest of pre-production stages.
So, if you have a site and have some special interest or hobby, such as Korean music, taekkyon or even collecting bits and pieces of pop culture, contact me.

I need your name, web site and interest/hobby. I’ll pass your info to the PD.

Yeah, great that’s what we need: media attention on the “blog ring” that going on right under the noses of unsuspecting Koreans.
I know you know her Joe, but you don’t know how this will end up.
Can’t trust it.
